Pakistan Tourism

As far as attractions are concerned, we believe that Pakistan is a massively underrated country. What you should know about it is that Pakistan is one of the very few countries that includes all forms of geological structure.

It has sea, desert, dry mountains, green mountains, ice-covered mountains, waterfalls, rivers, forests, etc.

Pakistan is also the home of the Second Highest Peak in the world, K2 with 8,611 meters. However, you may not enjoy the climate while in Pakistan. It is mostly hot and dry, but it depends on where you are going. Don’t be surprised if your destination required thermal clothes and winter boots.

One of the things you will love most about Pakistan is its natural wonders. For one thing, you can explore the wonders of Karachi. It used to be Pakistan’s capital city. Located on the shores of the Arabian Sea, it is the largest city in the country. You can visit the Quaid-e-Azam’s Mazar, which is the mausoleum of the founder of Pakistan. It is made entirely of white marble, and the African arches are magnificent. You can also visit the National Museum, Alladin Amusement & Water Park, Hill Park, and many more.

The Entry Requirements for Pakistan Tourism

Pakistan started using a system of e-visa in 2019.The  electronic visa allows its holder to remain in the country for no more than 30 days, and it is a single-entry visa. Extensions are possible, but the period varies depending on nationality. The e visa is valid only at specific points of entry.

While the visa policy of Pakistan includes multiple documents that can get you in depending on nationality (visa on arrival, ETA for a visa on arrival, etc.) what interests you the most is that almost all nationalities that are required to obtain a visa to enter Pakistan can apply online for one.

There are a few exceptions, of course, but if you find yourself in need of standard visa , you must go to the nearest Pakistani embassy and obtain one. There are 15 such nationalities.

Food in Pakistan

The food in Pakistan is delicious. Most meals consist of kebabs which start from mildly spicy to really hot. It depends on the area you plan on visiting. It is not recommended to drink tap water at all. You must keep in mind that ice is made from it, so you should avoid that as well. The water is known to carry tuberculosis.

Safety in Pakistan

People used to say that the risk to travel Pakistan were over-hyped by the media, however recent years have seen a marked upsurge in political and sectarian.Pakistan has been a target for terrorist attacks for many years, but the situation seems to be improving.Even so, you should stay away from military convoys because they are often a target to suicide bombers. Some roads may read in English that no foreigners are allowed, so you should listen to that. Lastly, stay away from any social protests or political demonstrations.

The Unique Hospitality

Hospitality is the first thing you hear when talking about Pakistan. Whether you live in the country or a foreign if someone is telling you something good about Pakistan this is the first thing they speak of. Hospitality is the backbone of Pakistani culture. Anyone who comes from abroad is pleasantly surprised at how all the locals go out of their way to be hospitable to their guests. Whether you are in one of the major cities or backpacking in the Northern areas, anyone who crosses your path will tell you all you need to know about the area and the conversation will always end in them inviting you as a guest to their house for either tea or dinner. There is hardly anyone who does not offer foreigners a sightseeing tour of the area in which they are staying so that they can see all the unique things that are unknown to travelers.

Culture Diversity

Pakistan has four provinces, with each having its own culture, traditions, dialect, and palette of food and art. This cultural diversity stems from the ethnic variation causing it to have profound long-lasting effects on the entire culture as a whole.

If you travel across the entire country, crossing over to each different province is almost like to go a new country where you will notice in the way people look, dress, speak and behave. This diversity is what enriches the variety of food we have, the great range of music and instrument we play, the enriched variety of songs and literature we read as well as a great number of local dialects we own. It is a truly fascinating experience because you can experience a multitude of unique cultures under the umbrella of one collective culture, making your trip a lesson in diversity.

You would be better off if restricting yourself from talking about politics, especially about Pakistan’s relations with Israel or India. Pakistani people are incredibly proud, and such discussion can turn passionate or even violent.

Pakistan may be a sensitive country to visit, but as long as you respect the culture and avoid the conflict zones, you should have a lovely time there. The scenery is fantastic, and nature really does put on a show in Pakistan.
