The Laptop Scheme for CM Punjab was officially launched

The Honhaar Scholarship and CM Laptop schemes were officially launched today by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif at Government College University, Faisalabad.

Honhaar Scholarship Program

The Honhaar Scholarships are provided in the form of financial aid of Rs. 201.19 million, which has been granted to a total of 4690 students of the Faisalabad division. It offers scholarships to needy students of public and private universities, as well as colleges.

  • Public Universities: 3,211 students will receive scholarships amounting to Rs. 176.27 million.
  • Private Universities: 101 students will be awarded scholarships worth Rs. 2.8 million.
  • Public Colleges: 1,378 students will benefit from Rs. 22 million in scholarships.

Prominent institutions getting benefit from these scholarships are:

  • Government College University, Faisalabad
  • University of Agriculture
  • Government College Women University
  • University of Jhang
  • Faisalabad Medical University

CM Laptop Scheme
Maryam Nawaz Sharif also introduced the latest laptop of the CM Laptop Scheme which distributes 40,000 laptops throughout Punjab. For students scoring 65 and above, a special prize was announced in which they would make sure they have laptops for their academics.

In her statement, she noted that it was an open indication of the promise of the government which empowered youth with the means to brighten their fortunes through excellence in the academic field.
