Peshawar BRT is acquiring numerous buses to accommodate the increasing demand

The government has chosen to increase the BRT service to cover fresh territories in order to address Peshawar’s increasing transport demands.

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur chaired a meeting where it was decided that BRT coaches would henceforth run on Ring Road, Bara Road, and Khyber Road. Seventy new dieselhybrid buses will be bought to help this growth.

The needed civil works must be completed six months before the new routes are rolled out. The development of yet underway bus rapid transit stops was also evaluated. Authorities said the Mall of Hayatabad and Dubgari Plaza should be finished by the end of April.

Furthermore, several vital judgments were taken to enable traffic to run better in the town. Full financing will enable fast building of the final link of Ring Road. The government has also chosen to construct underpasses at several places in the city to alleviate traffic. Ring Road and University Road will have seven underpasses built.

Under two months will authorities have completed feasibility studies of the underpasses. Yet another project is underway to build underpasses in busy places. Apart from that, hurdles contributing to traffic congestion on University Road will be gone within one month.

At the meeting, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur stated that the government is dedicated to Peshawar’s improvement and the availability of contemporary transportation options. He stressed that financial limitations will not stall development and that the BRT service will be enhanced even more to satisfy consumers’ requirements.

The conference considered as well expanding BRTstyle services to other divisional headquarters throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Feasibility research in Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, and Dera Ismail Khan will kick off this process.
