Han L has been presented by BYD, a high-performance electric automobile. There are two versions: one rear wheel drive model with a 670 HP engine and one all wheel drive version with a 308 HP front motor combines a 777 HP rear motor for a total of 1,085 HP. Rivaling the best in class electric vehicles such the Tesla Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Sapphire, the AWD model goes from 0 to 100 km/h in only 2.7 seconds.
The two models have an 83.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. While the AWD version offers 601 km, the RWD model has a CLTCrated range of 701 km. Even at 30°C, the Han L allows twogun DC charging, so a 24minute 16% to 100% recharge could be achieved.
BYD provides plugin hybrid models of the Han L in addition to the electric varieties. Pairing a 1.5liter turbocharged engine with a 269 HP electric motor, the DMi model gives an electric only range of 170 km CLTC. The DMp option features a 269horsepower motor, including an electric range of 145 km CLTC.
With a wheelbase of 2,970 mm, the Han L is 5,050 mm long, 1,960 mm wide, and 1,505 mm high. Including unique front element called “Dragon Mustache” and rear taillights inspired by phoenix wings, its design reflects BYD’s “Long Face” aesthetics.
With amenities including a refrigerator, fragrance system, wireless charging, and Dynaudio speakers, and more than enough shoulder room—1,484 mm in the rear and 1,531 mm up front—the interior is set apart from others.
The Han L will be available in China this year from BYD with an initial cost of about 300,000 yuan (about $41,350 or 1.2 Crore).
